Crysler Veterinary Hospital has been providing exceptional veterinary care for over 40 years to the Kansas City suburbs of Independence, Raytown, Lee's Summit, and Blue Springs. We provide veterinary care for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, pocket pets, pet chickens and ducks, birds, and reptiles. Our veterinary services include wellness care, sick appointments, diagnostic care, surgical care, cold laser therapy, grooming, and more. Crysler Veterinary Hospital is also a Cat-Friendly Practice®, which means our staff takes extra measures to help your cat have a more pleasant veterinary visit. DVMEarning magna cum laude honors, Dr. Schweizer received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri in 1992. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians. He loves his dog Pearl and his cat Mr. Whiskers. The proud husband of Ronee and father of three sons – Jacob, Luke, and Timothy – Dr. Schweizer enjoys fishing, boating, swimming, and biking.

Charity Vuagniaux
DVM, CVADr. Vuagniaux graduated from the University of Missouri with her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2004. Her professional interests are internal medicine and surgery, and she is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Vuagniaux received training in medical acupuncture for dogs, cats, and exotic companion animals in April 2015. She and her husband Corey love spending time with their many pets – a Boxer named Apollo, a Golden Retriever named Gordy, two cats named Noah and Jasmine, a horse named Ginger, and a miniature donkey named Zip. When she isn’t surrounded by animals, Dr. Vuagniaux serves as president of the Dynamic Connections ABWA chapter and a member of Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Kevin Harsha
DVMDr. Harsha received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 1997. Today he is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association,and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. He is the proud husband to Kristi and father to Rebecca and Zach, with whom he cares for a Beagle named Beau Norman and a Boston Terrier named Bailey. In his spare time, Dr. Harsha loves camping, fishing, reading, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.

Dana Dacus Wells
DVMDr. Dana Dacus Wells is a veterinarian at Crysler Animal Hospital and has practiced veterinary medicine for over 20 years. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 1998, and her areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and pain management. Dr. Dacus has cared for animals her entire life, which led her to begin working in the veterinary industry in 1989. She has worked in private practice, owned her own practice for eight years, and has also worked in small animal medicine for five years. She says the best part of working in the veterinary field is improving a pet’s quality of life; whether through education, preventative medicine, or surgery. Dr. Dacus has also previously worked at Crysler Animal Hospital from 2017-2018. Originally from Crystal City, MO, Dr. Dacus currently resides in the Kansas City area with her husband, Danny, and children, Nathanial and Grace. She currently shares a home with Izzy, a lab mix, “grandpup” Cooper, a Labradoodle, and eight cats: Ruger, Charlie, Daisy, Poppy, Mavis, Chester, Mama Kitty, and Moo Kitty. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Dacus enjoys reading, biking, hiking, kayaking, and camping in the mountains. A fun fact about Dr. Dacus is that she started in college as a music major, and now enjoys singing in the car!

Monica Crowe
DVMDr. Monica R. Crowe is an Associate Veterinarian at Crysler & AniMed Animal Hospital. Dr. Crowe earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and her areas of professional interest include feline medicine, internal medicine, and abdominal ultrasound. Dr. Crowe was inspired to become a veterinarian when her first poodle was sick with parvo and a veterinarian saved his life. This experience made Dr. Crowe want to change people’s lives for the better by helping their pets. Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Crowe now lives in Blue Springs, MO with her three daughters and her 2-year-old toy poodle named Pierre. Pierre is Dr. Crowe’s third toy poodle; she loves poodles and doodle breeds. In her free time, Dr. Crowe does whatever her three little girls want to do!
